Clear records. Matching balances.
Disclaimer
These tools are for education and arithmetic review. They are not financial, tax or legal advice. Use your original statements, ledger entries and supporting documents when preparing an actual reconciliation.
What a result establishes
A matching result means the amounts entered into the worksheet produce equal adjusted balances. It does not establish that the records are complete, that transactions were authorized or that the correct accounting treatment was used. The tools cannot inspect a statement, verify a receipt or detect every duplicate entry.
Scope of each tool
The outstanding-check and deposit tools calculate a single bank-side adjustment. The credit card tool compares statement totals, without estimating interest or reconciling a separate liability ledger. The petty cash tool compares cash and slips with a fixed fund. The checklist records user-selected completion states. None of the tools posts a journal entry or changes an account.
Official examples
Published examples come from official sources and are linked beside the relevant tables. They illustrate a method and do not represent current balances, current fees or recommended policies. Changes made in the editable example are user inputs, not updates to the published illustration.
Review before acting
Investigate unexplained differences and retain the records supporting each correction. Refer to the official guidance linked on the tool page and obtain appropriate professional help when the accounting or legal treatment requires judgment. Do not use an unsupported adjustment merely to force the balances to match.
